Simple Way to Make your Own Olive Oil Shampoo

2. Equipment needed for making olive oil shampoo includes a small sauce pan, 2 glass bowls, transparent containers (preferably plastic bottles), wooden spoons for stirring, funnel and rubber gloves.
3. For the actual ingredients, you will need 2 cups olive oil, ¾ cup cold water, ¼ cup lye 4 to 5 drops of glycerin.
4. You can also add an essential oil of your choice; however this is optional.
5. Pour the water into the bowl then add the lye. This will cause the mixture to boil.
6. Pour the olive oil into the saucepan until it is lukewarm. When it is warm to the touch pour it into the other bowl.
7. Using your gloves, pour the lye mixture into the warm olive oil and stir continuously until it achieves a gravy consistency.
8. When the right consistency is reached, add the glycerin and still until well blended into the mixture.
9. Using the funnel, transfer the finished olive oil shampoo in the prepared containers. Cover and it is now ready for use.
